Saturday, October 17 (9AM – 1PM)
We’re big advocates of environmentally-friendly practices, and keeping our neighborhood as green as we can. In fact, Gaithersburg feels the same way! That’s why they’ve teamed up with the Gaithersburg Environmental Affairs Committee and Office Paper Systems to give everyone a chance to shred, donate and/or recycle their items in an environmentally friendly manner.
To make things even easier, staff will be at the event to help you donate up to five paper bags or small cardboard boxes without even having to leave your car! Manna Food Center will be collecting nonperishable food items that you can also donate.
This is a free, drive-through event for individuals and households. No business customers please. Staff will be on hand to accept up to five paper bags or small cardboard boxes per vehicle. You won’t need to leave your car as your materials are transferred for secure shredding and disposal. At the event the City will also gratefully accept the donation of nonperishable food items, which will be collected by Manna Food Center. You can find the list of desired items by visiting www.mannafood.org.
