Sleeping in, Netflix marathons, and relaxing after a long week – whatever your weekend brings, there’s always something to look forward to. But we can’t forget the one weekend tradition that tends to be what we’re all looking forward to: brunch!
The Downtown Crown area is certainly filled with amazing restaurants and brunch menu’s that bring more to the table than just amazing mimosas (although we love our mimosa’s!). So we pulled together a list of our favorite so that you don’t miss out on the ones you have to try.
- Gazebo Café – 5 Stars (93 Reviews)
“Went on a spontaneous brunch with the boyfriend and man, this cafe is amazing! Couldn’t stop gushing over their Chai Tea Latte because it’s just the best in the area.
The food is really tasty … a little expensive but so worth the money: they use high quality ingredients.
Owners are really helpful with their food suggestions and they make you feel so well taken cared of that you couldn’t wait to go back and bring your mum for a special weekend brunch!
The place is so tiny but really adorable. Not really a good place for a huge group. Recommended for a brunch date with your bestfriends.” – Leila A.
- Woodfield Diner – 4 Stars (32 Reviews)
“Went in for breakfast this morning and was pleased. We ordered pancakes and eggs with bacon. Everything was prepared exactly as ordered and delivered to our table pretty quickly. The staff was very courteous and the price was good. I’ll be going back again the next time I’m looking for a good breakfast spot.” – Shaun C.
- Village Green Restaurant – 3.5 Stars (57 Reviews)
“This place is what a ma&pops place should be, homie. The staffs are welcoming and friendly and the food is delicious. If it’s your first time here, I recommend getting the Belgium Waffle with whip cream and fruit!” – Minh T.
- First Watch – 3.5 Stars (75 Reviews)
“This is a great breakfast/brunch spot in a relatively quiet shopping center. The menu has a good variety of both basic breakfast foods and salads and sandwiches. I’ve only been here for breakfast but have really enjoyed it – during my most recent visit, I ordered the avocado, bacon and tomato hash, which was 2 eggs on top of a mix of potatoes and the like. It was the perfect amount of food for breakfast but could have used more avocado. Another nice touch is that they operate “diner-style” so our waiter put my group’s foods on separate checks without asking.
Keep in mind that it’s only open until 2:30pm each day, so don’t come too late in the day!” – Cat L.
- BLT Grill – 5 Stars (21 Reviews)
“My family really enjoys the food at the new BLT Grill. This family owed and operated business serves fantastic breakfast items and other American favorites huge on flavor and size at a reasonable price. Eggs freshly cooked to order, large slices of meaty bacon, and well seasoned home fries compliment the tasty French toast or waffle platters. We have recently tried the cheesesteak sub for an early lunch ;-). It was plenty big to share and quite good too. Nice to know you can get breakfast and lunch items all day in case you’re craving chicken wings and fries in the morning or an omelette in the afternoon/evening (got to love bre-nner!)
Restaurant offers counter service which you can eat in or carry out.” – Janet C.
- Crepes-A-Go-Go – 3.5 Stars (133 Reviews)
“The crepes are good. I got one savory and one sweet to share with my mom. The only reason I cannot give five stars is because the man on the counter was a bit rude. He was looking at his phone the whole time I was standing in front of him as I was ordering. He also brought the two plates but kind of dropped the plates and utensils on the table very loudly as if he was in a hurry and walked away quickly. While we were eating, we witnessed him making another customer’s order mistake… Most likely because he’s not paying attention and playing with his phone. I would say he was lucky that the customers were nice about it.” – Jenny S.
- The Airport Cafe – 4 Stars (16 Reviews)
“My mom and I went here for breakfast/brunch on a Saturday around 11:30am. It was VERY good. We got a sample of a few things… Pumpkin Pancakes, Eggs Benedict, and Orange Coconut French Toast (which I LOVED the most!) Everything was really great and service was great, too. It was nice to sit on the patio and watch the planes take off, as well. A great breakfast/lunch spot and very affordable!” – Niki B.
- Café Delux – 3 Stars (117 Reviews)
“Great dining option in the Rio. What I love about this place is you can go for brunch, happy hour or dine for dinner and never be disappointed. What makes this place stand out is their amazing patio. Great for a nice day! Perfect location for a good view of the lake or people watching.
Brunch – they have an unlimited mimosa deal! They have great Benedict options and even a tasty oatmeal if your keeping things simple!
Happy hour – the hummos and flatbread are my go tos here 🙂
The prices are affordable and the food is good. Be sure to join their free loyalty program for occasional perks in your email!” – Lauren C.
- Peppers Taco & Wine Bar – 5 Stars (4 Reviews)
“I love the tacos and service here. In fact, I am craving the tacos right now. I have also ordered breakfast. And wifi is there!” – Laura T.
